The idea was born in March of 2015, and fully executed in September of 2015.

Who started the ACC and why?
Myrna King saw the tremendous results coaching could offer to the good people of Austin, and decided to find a way to get more potential clients in front of great coaches. As she spoke with numerous coaches, the same challenges in running their coaching practices came up time and again. By serving both coaches and their clients, ACC seeks to mutually benefit coaches and clients.

What types of coaches join the ACC?
Many different kinds of coaches make up our coalition. Primary categories include: Business, Sales & Productivity, Life, Relationship, Money, Fitness & Wellness, Spiritual and Healing coaches. Many of our coaches have both a primary and secondary area of practice. Please note the information on their online individual member profile.

Do I have to have a coaching certification to be a member?
No certification is necessary. ACC utilizes initial orientation interviews with each coaches before they join, and the coach’s experience and areas of expertise are outlined in their member profile online. We ask member coaches to follow our principle guidelines and best practices. Coaches that do not are asked to exit the coalition roster.

What is the value of joining ACC?
Coaches have told us that they want to participate in a supportive community – one
where they can share ideas, join forces for workshops, learn about new coaching modalities and technique, and gain success along with improving their work-life balance. They also tell us they often have to juggle marketing efforts, business practices, training and coaching clients, which can be overwhelming. We address these areas for coalition coaches.
